Q: What waist sizes does the Universal Leather Belt fit?
A: Universal 28"–55" range. The belt can be customised to your exact waist size by trimming and repositioning the end cap (see brochure for instructions). This makes it easier for large teams to order one belt to suit virtually all team members.
Q: What is the maximum tool load?
A: No one individual tool should exceed 2.5 kg (5.5 lb); the belt as a whole will support 30 kg (66 lb) total weight.
Q: Why genuine leather vs. nylon or synthetic?
A: Thick genuine leather is extremely durable, abrasion-resistant, and conforms naturally for all-day comfort.
Q: Is the belt ANSI/ISEA 121-2023 compliant?
A: Yes. It is independently tested and certified for dropped-object prevention in work-at-height applications.
Q: Can I trim the belt to fit my waist exactly?
A: Yes. Trim within the adjustment area by following the instructions in the brochure. Trimming does not affect ANSI/ISEA 121-2023 compliance.
Q: What is the maximum tether length?
A: 1.3 m (51 in) is the maximum rated tether length for dropped-object prevention.
Q: How do I maintain the leather?
A: Wipe clean after use and condition periodically (every few months) with a suitable leather conditioner.
Q: Is it compatible with non-GRIPPS® holsters?
A: Yes. The belt works with most belt-loop holsters and pouches. For optimal performance, pair it with GRIPPS® accessories.
Q: Is this a fall-arrest harness?
A: No. The Universal Leather Belt is for tool tethering and storage only. It is not a fall-arrest or body-support device.
Q: Will the leather stretch over time?
A: Genuine leather may soften and develop character with use, but the heavy-duty hardware is engineered to resist stretching and deformation under load.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
